Two-bedroom apartment · 84 m² · 11 weeks

Empty new-build apartment with bare white walls — Starting point White box, no storage, one ceiling light per room.

Finished living room with leather ottomans and grey sofa — Result Warm, layered living room with a clerestory window feature.

Layout: the sofa floats in the middle to create a reading zone behind it.
Materials: oak floor, bouclé cushions and cognac leather for warmth.
Lighting: an arc floor lamp and wall washers replace the single ceiling light.

The spare room turned home office

Home office · 14 m² · 4 weeks

Wall being painted with a roller during renovation — Starting point A dark storage room nobody used — painted and rewired first.

Green home office with desk and reading chair — Result A calm sage-green office with a reading corner for breaks.

Colour: deep sage walls make a small room feel enveloping, not cramped.
Function: desk placed side-on to the window for glare-free video calls.
Comfort: sheer curtains and a rug to soften acoustics.

The tired family dining room
